Web Designer

Position Overview


  • Position is contractual only. Work hours are directly dependent on projects assigned to this position.
  • The Website Developer will design, develop, analyze, implement and maintain highly complex ASP, ASP.NET, and PHP websites for existing Steed & Associates customers.
  • Must be proficient with current website development tools and technologies.

General Requirements

  • Problem solving ability.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize work.

Specific Requirements

  • 3+ Years Experience with ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, MySQL, VBScript, JavaScript, SQL Server, SQL queries, Access, and CSS.
  • 3+ Years Experience with Database design.
  • 2+ Years Experience with XML, XLST, AJAX, HTML, DHTML.
  • Proficient designer in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with API's.
  • Familiarity with Tandem Server Content Management System a plus.
  • Familiarity with Shopping Cart functionality. Experience with AspDotNetStoreFront, 3dCart.com, and OSCommerce shopping carts a plus.
  • Familiarity with SEO techniques.

Preferred Education

Associate Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field from an accredited business, community or technical college is preferred but not necessarily required. While we promote formal education, we do realize that job performance is not directly related to formal education. A strong portfolio speaks volumes about your abilities.

Pay Scale

When it comes to payment Steed & Associates is all about a fair price. We would like to hear a few example projects you have managed and their cost. For example you could say, “A custom built CMS similar to ( X ) would cost ( X )". Obviously the price is going to be a complete estimate, so do not worry about being too accurate. This position is a development position; Steed & Associates will handle the quoting aspect.

Important: Steed & Associates will not necessarily choose the cheapest Website Designer who applies for this position. We require honest designers who want an honest pay commensurate of their experience. Please give estimates at the price which you desire to work at.

Company benefits are not available since this is a contract position.
